Strydom Orthodontics

Dr Hardus Strydom brings a rare blend of South African roots and European specialist training to his orthodontic practice. After qualifying summa cum laude from Stellenbosch in 2004 and spending the early part of his career in the Netherlands, he completed a four-year specialist orthodontic residency at Radboud University in Nijmegen, one of the most respected programmes in Europe. He returned home to South Africa in 2014 and has been practising as a specialist orthodontist ever since.

His approach is precise, considered, and deeply patient-centred. Whether he is treating a child in early intervention or an adult finally choosing to address a long-held concern, the work is grounded in the same belief: a healthy, well-aligned smile changes how a person engages with the world. Dr Strydom joined the Smileway platform in March 2026, bringing his practice and his unmistakable warmth into a network that shares his commitment to clinical excellence and genuine patient care.
