Charles Kramer
Executive Chairman
Charles has an LL.B (London) and is the co-executive chairman of Norman Goodfellows liquor group, and he has over three decades of experience in the beverage retail and wholesale industry. Charles was responsible for the initiative of the wholesale expansion of the Norman Goodfellows business.
Nick Neto
CEO
Nick is a Chartered Accountant and played a key role in growing Dentex into the UK’s second-largest private dental provider, leading to its successful exit to Portman in 2023. With experience in M&A, operations, and team building, he helped make PortmanDentex the largest UK provider. Now, he’s back in South Africa and part of the Smileway team.
Chris Kerr-Peterson
COO
Chris is a self-taught software developer with a Bcom, BA, and MBA. Chris has been spearheading the development of the Hugo Group and Nuclear Med, generating double-digit growth year-on-year for over a decade. His relentless focus on leveraging technology has underpinned this growth, culminating in the development of a practice management system that forms the foundation for Smileway’s future growth.

CFO
Rick, an accomplished Chartered Accountant with a expertise in technology. Rick has led financial reporting and process optimisation initiatives across various industries, significantly advancing strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness throughout the organisation.
Zoe Loeve
CPO
Zoe is a people and culture specialist with a BCom Honours Industrial Psychology, certificate in Labour Law, and a qualified professional coach. With experience across multiple industries, she has consistently focused on unlocking individual potential and team performance. Her passion for people drives her to create meaningful, high-performing workplaces that balance success with personal fulfilment.
Sarah Bishop
Group Finance Partner
Sarah Bishop is a qualified Chartered Accountant with expertise in operational finance, accounting, compliance, and mergers & acquisitions. She completed her articles at Deloitte and spent five years at Long4Life, a listed investment group, where she strengthened financial governance, processes, and controls across multiple businesses and supported M&A transactions. Sarah’s strategic thinking and practical approach enable her to drive efficiency, ensure robust financial management, and support Smileway’s growth ambitions. She is based in Johannesburg with her husband and two children.
Blessing Makgate
IT Manager
With over 10 years of IT experience, Blessing has grown from running his own internet café to managing enterprise systems as IT Manager at Smileway. Blessing’s background spans network administration, cybersecurity, backups, cloud platforms, and infrastructure management. He holds an IT Diploma from Boston City Campus along with CompTIA and Ubiquiti UniFi certifications. He’s passionate about building secure, reliable, and user-friendly IT environments that help people and businesses thrive.
Cindy Oschmann
Operations Partner
Since beginning her career in orthodontic practices in 1999, Cindy has gained broad experience in every area of practice operations, including clinical, administrative, and patient care. This diverse background enables her to understand and enhance how each part of a practice works together to deliver outstanding care.
Charmaine Hoogendoorn
Integrations Manager
With nearly two decades of experience in the Orthodontic field, Charmaine has been part of the industry since 2005, bringing extensive knowledge in patient accounts, administration, and financial management. She has a proven track record of implementing efficient workflows and systems that streamline processes and support smooth day-to-day operations.
David Vinokur
Non-executive director
David is a Chartered Accountant, with a robust 19-year tenure in private equity, CEO of Global Capital Group and CFO of Universal Partners. David is adept at elevating portfolios, he represented Universal Partners in investing in Dentex group UK. Dentex grew from 3 practices to 170 and merged with Portman and combined around 400 practices.
